Chamber Music

Always very excited about new Macro stuff, and these two just can't seem to leave my player. The restrained darkness that makes up the world of Raudive, along with the sense that his craft is getting very close to perfection, keeps me coming back to this album. His ambient pieces are particularly wonderful. A definite 2010 highlight for me.

As for Stefan Goldmann's new 12", it features a fearless track that perfectly combines his avant-garde leanings with old-school dancefloor mayhem. Raw, primitive and played live - does it get any better than this?

The Maze is out Sept 13 and Chamber Music on Sept 27.
